{"id":4021,"date":"2010-04-29T00:12:37","date_gmt":"2010-04-28T16:12:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.softwareforenterprise.us\/?p=4021"},"modified":"2025-07-21T23:12:20","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T15:12:20","slug":"scorm-compliant-saas-web-based-learning-management-system-lms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.softwareforenterprise.us\/hub\/scorm-compliant-saas-web-based-learning-management-system-lms\/","title":{"rendered":"SCORM SaaS web based learning management system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently a friend told me that he will be going to London to attend a course meant for internal staff from around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Most people would look forward to business travel opportunities but my friend who has a wife and two young kids would rather not leave town if possible.<\/p>\n<p>We talked about his concerns and also discussed briefly how today&#8217;s advanced technology allows employees to attend seminars and courses online via the Internet, without having to cross borders.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"nofollow\"   style=\"color:#1e73be;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inflowinventory.com\/?plid=27260\">Organizations<\/a> that are trying to cut costs and training budgets are now opting for SaaS web-based <a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"nofollow\"   style=\"color:#1e73be;\"href=\"https:\/\/www.softwareforenterprise.us\/hub\/recommends\/learnworlds\">learning management<\/a> systems (LMS) to deliver courses and training programs to their employees.<\/p>\n<p>Some organizations are also taking advantage of an LMS for the purpose of regulatory and legal compliance.<\/p>\n<p>With an LMS, standardized courses can be delivered on time and consistently to all employees together with the ability to easily track which employee has or hasn&#8217;t taken a course.<\/p>\n<p>There are many web-based LMS out there in the market these days. To begin building a new course, click on the course tab and click on the New Course button.<\/p>\n<p>Once a course a created, you can now add modules to the course.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4027 lazyload\" title=\"add module\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.softwareforenterprise.us\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/add-module.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"346\" height=\"305\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.softwareforenterprise.us\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/add-module.png 346w, https:\/\/www.softwareforenterprise.us\/hub\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/add-module-300x264.png 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 346px) 100vw, 346px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 346px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 346\/305;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From the screenshot above, you can upload the following types of files:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Video<\/li>\n<li>Audio<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"\" class=\"aalmanual\" target=\"_blank\"  rel=\"nofollow\"   style=\"color:#1e73be;\"href=\"https:\/\/www.softwareforenterprise.us\/hub\/recommends\/project-timeline\/\">PowerPoint<\/a> or Keynote presentation<\/li>\n<li>Flash Movie<\/li>\n<li>SCORM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And create any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assessment (Tie an answer to a question)<\/li>\n<li>Survey (Gather open feedback from others)<\/li>\n<li>Slideshow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One key feature of Litmos has to be its SCORM 1.2 compliance where any eLearning content developed in a SCORM conformant way can simply be uploaded (zip file) and delivered to learners.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a lot of content already developed in line with SCORM standards, then you can set up your Litmos LMS within a short period.<\/p>\n<p>Besides adding courses and modules, an administrator can add new users and group them into teams.<\/p>\n<p>Litmos also allows quick reports to be generated such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Survey results<\/li>\n<li>Assessment results<\/li>\n<li>User training history<\/li>\n<li>Overall course results<\/li>\n<li>Team performance comparison<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more details on how to utilize and benefit from the SCORM-compliant SaaS web-based learning management system, check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.litmos.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Litmos<\/a> today!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently a friend told me that he will be going to London to attend a course meant for internal staff from around the world.
